We\u2019ve struck gold at the Anthem Film Festival! Again! Our viral comedy short, Censorship Royal<\/em><\/a>, a razor-sharp James Bond parody skewering Britain\u2019s online speech crackdown, snagged Best Comedy Short. Reposted<\/a> by none other than Elon Musk, this gem from our Comedy is Murder<\/em><\/a> series racked up a staggering 40 million views. Why comedy? Because when people laugh, their defenses drop, and our message of liberty sneaks right in. This marks our seventh<\/em> Anthem win, and trust us, we\u2019re not tired of winning yet!<\/p>\n

But Anthem is just one piece of the puzzle at FreedomFest<\/a>, where we connect with the liberty movement\u2019s brightest minds and curious newcomers. Our team lit up the stage: Matt Kibbe, Lou Perez, and executive producer Matt Battaglia screened more of our comedy shorts, to roars of laughter. Our digital marketing maven, Sara Higdon, tackled the thorny topic of gender politics, offering libertarians a playbook for navigating the stupefying essence of postmodernism. Topping off the conference, Matt Kibbe hosted a powerhouse panel, Libertarianism 2.0<\/em>, featuring Dr. Bret Weinstein. This was a dry-run for a series of deeper conversations we are planning with Bret for a new video series of the same name.<\/p>\n

Matt almost talked his face off, recording nine<\/em> new Kibbe on Liberty<\/a><\/em> podcast episodes with heavyweights like Steve Forbes, Michael Malice, Bret Weinstein, and my favorite, Chef Andrew Gruel. I half-expected him to lose his voice, but he\u2019s a machine! Keep an eye out for these episodes dropping soon.<\/p>\n

As I write this, our team\u2019s busy at PorcFest<\/a> in the Free State of New Hampshire, where libertarians have gathered to celebrate the freeing of Ross Ulbricht, whose unjust imprisonment became a battle cry for the \u201cPorcupines\u201d here over a decade ago. Looking for a more personally fulfilling challenge, in 1997 she disrupted her own career, moving into the liberty-based nonprofit and philanthropic world. After serving as a chief of staff in the U.S. House of Representatives, she became a fundraiser, raising millions in operating capital for various nonprofit and political causes, including Cato, the Competitive Enterprise Institute and FreedomWorks. From 2009 to 2014, she served as Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of the Rising Tide Foundation in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and as an advisor to the Global Philanthropic Trust in the Cayman Islands. She was Co-Founder of AlternativePAC, and a fundraiser and advisor for a superPAC supporting U.S. Senator Rand Paul for President. Terry is a member of The Mont Pelerin Society and serves on the board of trustees at the American Institute of Economic Research.
